Grand Marshalls and Eleftheria Medal Awarded at Hellenic Federation Dinner [Video]
Deptford, NJ – It was a first for the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley. On Saturday evening at their pre-parade dinner banquet, they awarded the 1st ever Eleftheria Medal to Rev’d Demetrios Constantelos Ph.D.,D.D. for his life long work and dedicated to Hellenism and faith.

Philadelphia, PA – When the numbers were finally tallied, more than ten thousand participated and celebrated Greek Independence Day along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Vice President of the Federation of Hellenic Societies, George Horiatis said, that more than twelve thousand were actually in attendance.

2014 Greek Independence Day Dinner
Deptford, NJ – The Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley hosted it’s annual Greek Independence Day Dinner yesterday. The event was highlighted by a series of presentations. Rev’d Demetrios Constantelos Ph.D.,D.D. was honored for his life long work dedicated to Hellenism and faith. Father Constantelos was awarded the first Eleftheria medal.
