Concerning the Greek Independence Day celebrations, plans are being made in earnest, so please stop by St. Demetrios for the next meeting.
Friday, March 18 – Flag Raising at City Hall
No reservations are needed. Come to City Hall, North Apron* at 12:45 pm for the very special ceremony raising of the Greek Flag at Philadelphia’s City Hall!

Saturday, March 19 – Dignitaries Banquet
Please make your reservation for the Dignitaries Banquet at Adelphia’s! We, the Federation, have stopped at nothing as will have the Evzones, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, His Grace Bishop Apostolos of Medeia, AHEPA Supreme President Jimmy Kokotas, Daughters of Penelope Grand President Kathy Bizoukas, Grand Marshal Honorable Consul General of Panama in Philadelphia Georgia Athanasopoulos, and the Eleftheria Award presentation to George Horiates, Esq.

Sunday, March 20 – Philadelphia Greek Independence Day Service, Parade, Reception
The Philadelphia Greek Independence Day Parade will be the first parade in the world honoring Greek Independence this year and the first parade since the pandemic onset of 2020. The parade will honor the Centennial of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and the Centennial of the Order of AHEPA. Also, an homage to the Centennial of Greece will occur in light of last year’s cancellation.
