Letter from the President

Dear Friends,

The past year has been historic and eventful. We faced many challenges, including the ongoing pandemic. I hear and share many of your frustrations, which is why we continue planning for the well-being of our community.

Despite these challenges, I found many reasons to be hopeful! Difficult times have a way of bringing communities together, and the Delaware Valley is no exception. Throughout the year, we have been in constant contact with church leaders, community organizations, and individuals to learn what communities needed and how we could help.

The annual Vasilopita celebration of January 11 is CANCELED out of an abundance of caution as experts say the Omicron variant will be at its peak. Please make no mistake about it. We WILL HAVE A PARADE ON MARCH 20, 2022 WITH A DIGNITARIES DINNER ON MARCH 19, 2022.

The Philadelphia Greek community has proven its resiliency is beyond question in 2021, and we’ll need to continue working together in 2022. We look forward to the New Year, and we are deeply proud to serve you.

Thank you for your partnership in pulling together as a community in these exceptional moments!
I am wishing you a safe and Happy New Year, Καλή Χρονιά!

D. Rozanitis
President
