Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church celebrates Greek Independence Day

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington, DE, celebrated the 200th Anniversary of Greek Independence on March 25, with a proclamation by the State of Delaware given by the Honorable Governor John Carney.

The evening launched with a procession of flags made by the youth who carried posters signaling Greece’s bicentennial celebration of freedom as they entered the church. The Doxology service was performed by Rev. Fr. Philemon Patitsas. That was followed by poems and traditional songs that were sung in honor of the historic day.
